Variations
Spinach Filling: Instead of mashed potatoes, use sautéed spinach mixed with garlic, onions, and spices. Add a little cheese for extra flavor.
Lentil Filling: Cook and mash some lentils, then mix with onions, ginger, garlic, and spices for a protein-rich filling.
Mixed Vegetable Filling: Use a combination of boiled and mashed vegetables like carrots, peas, and potatoes, and season with your favorite spices.
Tips
Rest the Dough: Let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes. This makes it easier to roll and gives a softer texture.
Seal the Edges Well: Press the edges firmly after adding the filling to avoid the filling spilling out while cooking.
Cook on Low Heat: Use medium to low heat while cooking the bread to make sure it cooks evenly without burning.
