  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the melted unsalted butter, white sugar, and crushed Oreo cookies until it forms a thick paste.
  • Grease an 8-inch round pan with butter or nonstick spray.
  • Press the Oreo cookie mixture into the bottom of the pan to form the crust layer for your cheesecake.
  • In another bowl, blend together the cream cheese, cocoa powder, and pure vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo crust layer using an offset spatula.
  • Top the cream cheese layer with the whipped topping, spreading it out to cover the entire surface of the cheesecake.
  • Garnish the top of the cheesecake with crushed Oreo cookies.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cheesecake to cool before serving.
