  • Chop your broccoli and onions and put them aside.
  • Shredded Your carrots (Although you can use regular carrots and cut or shred them, I like to buy my carrots already shredded).
  • Add your butter to the pot and allow it to melt, put in diced onions and cook until soft at medium heat.
  • Add flour and stir for a minute.
  • Add your chicken stock and pour heavy cream and continue to stir.
  • Add Ground Mustard, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Salt And Pepper and mix well.
  • Add broccoli and carrots and continuously stir.
  • For around 20 minutes, simmer the pot with the cover on.
  • Add the cheddar cheese and let it melt into the soup once it has reached the appropriate consistency.
