  • Add the white wine to a mixing bowl. Then add water and cornstarch. Whisk well until the cornstarch dissolves completely and no lumps remain.
  • Add salt, sugar, minced ginger, minced onion, minced garlic, and dry sherry into the bowl. Whisk again to combine.
  • In a spice grinder, grind the whole black peppercorns and mustard seeds until coarsely ground. Do not add any liquid while grinding.
  • Add the ground spice mixture and red pepper flakes to the bowl. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Your White Wine Worcestershire Sauce is ready to use. Pour into a clean container with a lid and refrigerate until needed.

Notes

Make sure the cornstarch is fully dissolved to avoid lumps.
Freshly minced garlic and ginger provide the best flavor.
Grinding whole spices gives a stronger and fresher taste than pre-ground spices.
The sauce will slightly thicken as it sits.
