Equipment & Tools

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Airtight container for storage

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise Sir Kensington’s mayonnaise recommended
  • 1 ½ tablespoon finely chopped carrot
  • 2 tablespoons chopped white onions
  • 1 ½ tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Instructions

  • Finely chop the carrot and white onion. The smaller the pieces, the better the texture of the sauce.
  • Place the mayonnaise, chopped carrot, chopped onions, sweet pickle relish, salt, and sugar into a mixing bowl.
  • Use a spoon or spatula to stir the ingredients until they are completely combined and smooth.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add a little more sugar for sweetness or a pinch of salt for extra flavor.
  • For the best flavor, cover the bowl and place the tartar sauce in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This helps the flavors blend together.
  • After chilling, your Red Lobster-style tartar sauce is ready to serve with your favorite seafood dishes.

Notes

Finely chopping the vegetables helps create a smoother sauce texture.
Chilling the sauce improves the overall flavor.
