For Cold Brew Coffee:
Grind the coffee beans in a coffee grinder on the coarsest setting or in short 1-second pulses.
The grounds must look like coarse cornmeal and not powder. You should have somewhat less than 1/2 cup ground.
Pour the coffee grounds into the container where the cold brew will be prepared.
Add water to the surface. To ensure that the grounds are well saturated with water, gently stir with a long-handled spoon.
To keep dust and bugs out, cover the jar with a lid or a thin plate. Give the coffee 10 to 12 hours to steep.
The coffee can be refrigerated or kept on the counter; the steeping time remains the same.
Over a large measuring cup or bowl, place a small strainer that is lined with cheesecloth.
Using a strainer, strain the coffee. Place the coffee in a glass jar and place it in the refrigerator.
For Orange Joe Drink:
Take a serving glass, and add some ice cubes to the glass.
Add 1 part cold brew coffee and 2 parts orange soda to the glass.
Stir to mix and enjoy Orange Joe Drink!
