  • Peel the apples with a peeler and slice the apples with a knife.
  • Put a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
  • Place the sliced apples into the heated saucepan.
  • Add the white sugar and cinnamon over the apples.
  • Squeeze in the lemon juice.
  • Add a tiny pinch of salt.
  • Pour in a cup of apple juice.
  • Let the apples cook until they become soft. It may take around 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • In a separate small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple juice until it's all dissolved.
  • Pour this cornstarch mixture into the saucepan with the apples.
  • Stir the mixture in the saucepan until it thickens. This should take a few minutes.
