  • Ingredients with Amounts

Ingredients

  • 4 sticks unsalted butter
  • 1 white onion
  • 6 heads garlic
  • 1 ½ tsp ginger powder
  • 1 ½ tsp brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp oregano
  • 1 ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 ½ tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 ½ tsp chili powder
  • 3 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 ½ tsp hot sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Start by gathering all the ingredients so everything is ready before cooking.
  • Peel the garlic and onion.
  • Place the peeled garlic and chopped onion into a blender or food processor.
  • Blend until the mixture becomes finely chopped. Transfer it to a bowl and set it aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients:
  • Ginger powder
  • Brown sugar
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Oregano
  • Onion powder
  • Lemon pepper
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Chili powder
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt
  • Mix well so the spices are evenly combined.
  • Place a medium saucepan on medium-high heat.
  • Add the butter and allow it to melt completely. This should take about 1 minute.
  • Add the blended garlic and onion mixture to the melted butter.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently so it does not burn.
  • Step 6: Add the Seasoning Mix
  • Stir continuously so the spices dissolve evenly into the sauce.
  • Let the sauce cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • This allows the flavors to blend and the sauce to thicken.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.
  • Let the sauce simmer for another 1 minute.
  • Remove the pan from heat.
  • Pour the sauce into a serving bowl and enjoy with your favorite seafood boil.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
Do not cook the garlic too long because it can become bitter.
Stir frequently to prevent the spices from sticking to the pan.
If the sauce becomes too thick, add a small amount of water.
