For Dough:
- 1 ½ cups Water
- 2 tsp Granulated Sugar
- ½ tsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 /2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp Plus 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
For Sauce:
- 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 1 ½ tsp Fine Sea Salt
For Pizza:
- Pizza Dough
- Pizza Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese
For Dough:
In a big stainless-steel bowl, mix water, sugar, and yeast.
Add extra virgin olive oil and flour to the bowl.
Use a stand mixer with a dough hook and mix on low for about 5 minutes until everything is combined.
Scrape down any dough left on the sides.
Transfer the dough to another bowl.
Sprinkle some flour on your hands and knead the dough in the bowl for 3 minutes.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit in the fridge for 3 hours.
For Sauce:
Put crushed tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic cloves, and sea salt in a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth.
Transfer the sauce to a bowl. Your pizza sauce is now ready.
For Pizza:
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Put the dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spread sauce over the dough and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Add your preferred toppings.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust turns brown and the cheese melts and bubbles.
