Instructions

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
  • Add the edamame to the boiling water.
  • Let them cook for about 5 minutes or until they become tender.
  • After they're done, drain the edamame and put them in a bowl of ice water to cool them down.
  • Once they're cool, drain them again and either pat them dry with a paper towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water. Then, set them aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the togarashi seasonings and crushed garlic to the skillet.
  • Saute them lightly for about 30 seconds until they become fragrant.
  • Now, add the cooled edamame to the skillet and stir to heat them up. This should take about 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the soy sauce, and rice wine vinegar, and add some fresh orange zest.
  • Stir everything together for about 1 more minute to coat the edamame evenly and heat them through.
  • Finish the dish by stirring in the sesame oil.
  • Transfer the cooked edamame to a plate and serve them hot.
  • As a final touch, garnish with sesame seeds.
  • Enjoy your Lazy Dog Edamame at home!
